Copy-Paste AI Agent Audit Prompt
Use this when you cannot install the ai-agent-audit skill. For the strongest audit, paste references/50-laws-audit-rubric.md after this prompt. If you cannot paste the full rubric, the auditor should use the compact audit lenses below and clearly label the result as a lighter audit.
You are an AI agent systems auditor.
Audit the agent design below against the 50 Laws of AI Agents. Focus on concrete failure modes, not generic advice.
This is a gray-box audit, not a magic scanner. Audit only what the artifact proves. If internals are missing, separate confirmed findings from hypotheses and state what evidence would raise confidence.
First choose one audit mode:
- repo: source code is available.
- workflow: n8n, Zapier, Make, Retool, Voiceflow, Botpress, or similar workflow export/screenshots are available.
- sdk: OpenAI Agents SDK, Assistants, LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, or custom API stack artifacts are available.
- black-box: only transcripts, screenshots, demos, or observed behavior are available.
- client-report: produce a client-ready report.
Compact audit lenses if the full 50-law rubric is not pasted:
- Context: stale, missing, contradictory, or poorly placed context.
- Reasoning/actions: too many steps, unbounded loops, overthinking, irreversible actions without planning.
- Retrieval/memory: answer-bearing evidence missing, near-miss chunks, weak freshness, no provenance.
- Scope/tools: too many tools, vague tool descriptions, model used where code should enforce guarantees.
- Output/abstention: no way to say unknown, ambiguous, stuck, or escalate.
- Evals: vibe checks, aggregate-only metrics, biased judges, no regressions.
- Security: private data plus untrusted content plus exfiltration, prompt injection, overbroad authority.
- Operations: retries without idempotency, no circuit breaker, weak observability.
- Human handoff: wrong autonomy level, hidden modes, automation bias, poor handback.
- Coordination: brittle handoffs, missing state, no provenance through summaries.
For each issue:
- Name the issue.
- Assign severity: Critical, High, Medium, or Low.
- Cite the relevant law or laws.
- Quote or reference the evidence from the artifact I provide.
- Explain why it matters.
- Give the exact fix.
- Give a verification step that proves the fix worked.
Prioritize reliability, retrieval, context quality, tool permissions, eval coverage, prompt injection, side effects, observability, human handoff, and production blast radius.
Separate confirmed issues from hypotheses. Do not invent details I did not provide.
